If you live in the Pittsburgh Pirates or Penguins TV market, most of their games air on AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh. Currently, the only streaming services that offer AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh in their lineup are fuboTV and AT&T TV.
AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh on fuboTV
fuboTV offers subscribers local and cable TV channels just as if you subscribed to a cable TV package. As of 1/12/21, fuboTV carries AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh in its channel lineup. You can watch the AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh through fuboTV online or on your TV using a supported streaming device like a Roku or Fire TV Stick.
Like cable, AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh is only available through fuboTV if you live in the Pittsburgh TV market. I recommend checking their website to find the channels they offer in your area using this link.
FuboTV offers a 1-Week Free Trial. There is no contract and you can cancel any time. If you cancel during your free trial, you will not be charged at all. Here are some features included with your subscription to fuboTV:
- live local CBS, FOX, and NBC broadcast in many parts of the country
- a ton of channels you usually find on cable like ESPN, FS1, and more
- a cloud DVR for recording TV shows
- stream to 2 devices at once (can upgrade to more)
fuboTV costs $64.99 per month. For more information on this streaming service, see our guide to fuboTV.
AT&T TV Carries AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh
AT&T’s live streaming service provides AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh their “Choice” package for $84.99 per month. They also carry FOX, ESPN, and TBS, so if a Pirates game is airing nationally, it will be on one of those networks.
AT&T TV is supported on the following devices:
- 4th Gen Apple TV
- Google Chromecast, 2nd gen and higher
- Amazon Fire TV
- Fire TV Stick
- iOS devices
- Chrome and Safari browsers
See our review of AT&T TV for more details on this streaming service.
What If You Live Outside the Pittsburgh TV Market
If you live outside the AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh broadcast area, it won’t be in your channel lineup. This is true of whether you use streaming services or subscribe to cable TV.
You can use MLB.TV and have access to not only every Pirates game live, but every game played by every team. The only drawback is games are blacked out if they are being shown nationally or if you live in an area where that game is being broadcast on a regional sports network like AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh. So we put together another guide to watching the Pirates online. The same is true with the Penguins being blacked out if you use NHL.TV live in the Pittsburgh TV market. However, you can get around that using this TV blackout workaround.
