2022 Concacaf W Championship Format
Eight teams compete in this year’s Concacaf W Championship. They are the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Haiti, Panama, and Trinidad & Tobago. The eight teams will be drawn into two groups of four and will play three matches each in a round-robin group stage. The top 2 teams from each group will advance to a single-elimination knockout phase to determine the champion. There will also be a game between the losers of both semi-final games to determine the third place team.
The four teams that advanced from the group stage will also qualify for the 2023 Women’s World Cup, while the third-place team from each group still has a chance for World Cup Qualification at the inter-confederation play-offs in February of next year.
