Sling TV as announced that certain streaming services are available as a stand-alone option. Furthermore, these services will be included on your Sling TV bill! One of the gripes I see is the separate billing for each streaming service a cord cutter subscribes. Another complain often heard is the constant switching between apps.
This will alleviate at least some of those gripes. Not only will Sling TV subscribers have all in one billing for services purchased through Sling TV, but also subscribers of these on-demand services will see the channels appear in their channel guide.
Sling TV will be offering a free preview through December 13th for select customers based on their subscription package. Details of these new channels and free preview information are below. I have also updated our Sling TV Review with this information.
CuriosityStream – Offers over 1,500 science, history, technology and nature documentaries, including series like “Stephen Hawking’s Favorite Places,” “DIGITS,” “Deep Time History” and “Ancient Earth.” I’ve also written a separate review of CuriosityStream for those interested.

This is an interesting move for Sling TV. I feel it will be seen as a positive for people who have recently switched from a cable or satellite TV provider. However, established cord cutters may see this as a move back to the bundle. Let me know what you think in the comments.
