How To Watch the NFL Draft Without Cable

When is the 2016 NFL Draft

The 2016 NFL draft starts this Thursday, April 28, at 8 p.m. Eastern and runs through Saturday, April 30. Thursday will air the complete first round. Rounds 2 and 3 will begin at 7 p.m. Eastern on Friday and the remaining rounds start on Saturday at noon Eastern.

How To Watch Online

All three days of the NFL draft will air on ESPN and NFL Network. If you’ve ready my post on how to watch ESPN without Cable or how to watch the NFL without cable, then you most likely know where I’m going with this post.

ESPN can be live streamed through Sling TV, which you can pick up a 7 day free trial and watch the 2016 NFL Draft for free. If you pick it up today, you will have access through the entire draft. Having Sling TV will even let you use the WatchESPN app or browser. There is no commitment with Sling TV so you can cancel any time. Also make sure you chose the single stream option with ESPN. ESPN isn’t currently available on their multi-stream package.

If you are a Verizon wireless customer you can also watch all three days of the NFL draft using their exclusive NFL mobile app.The app provides access to NFL network through your mobile device. It also lets you watch in market games. So if you are planning to cut the cord, Verizon is a good option for NFL fans. For access to NFL Mobile, check out their more everything plan.

ESPN is also available through PlayStation Vue. Don’t think you need a PlayStation to have the service. It’s available through other streaming devices as well, like the Amazon Fire TV.

Out of the three options above I find Sling TV to be the most widely available and easy to use. Furthermore the 7 day trial provides live online access to the draft at not cost to you. If your are interested in picking up a streaming device, Sling TV offer a promotion for a 50% discount on Roku and other devices. However that does require a 3 month commitment to sling TV.
