I’m going to keep this relatively spoiler-free, but those who watched The Mandalorian’s Season 2 finale stinger scene learned that Boba Fest was returning in December of 2021 for “The Book of Boba Fett.” This confused fans about whether Boba Fett would be getting his own show or if Mandalorian Season 3 would focus on Boba Fett since we recently learned Mandalorian Season 3 was coming in December 2021.
Executive producer Jon Favreau has now cleared up the confusion. On Good Morning America this morning, Favreau revealed The Book of Boba Fett is being worked on now and will air on Disney+ before season 3 of “The Mandalorian.” So we can rest assured that Din Djarin will remain the focus of The Mandalorian while getting an entirely new show focused on everyone’s favorite bounty hunter, Boba Fett. Disney later confirmed the news in a tweet showing the logo for the new show.
The Book of Boba Fett will star Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett and Ming-Na Wen as Fennec. If you want to check out The Mandalorian to catch up on these developments in the galaxy far, far away; both seasons of the Mandalorian are streaming right now on Disney+.
The service costs $7.99 per month. However, Disney+ also has year-long subscriptions at a discounted price of $79.99. There would be no contract commitment unless you chose the annual plan. You can subscribe through this sign-up page.
