The PGA Tour 2024 continues this week with the The American Express from Nicklaus and La Quinta courses in California. The winner of the The 2024 American Express will take home $1.5 million of a $8.4 million purse.
How To Watch The American Express
The American Express begins Thursday, January 18th, and runs through Sunday, January 21st. While TV coverage is on Golf Channel, all coverage on both channels will be simultaneously streamed on NBC’s streaming service Peacock if you subscribe to Peacock Premium Plus for $5.99 per month.
While you can watch the main TV coverage through Peacock, ESPN+ will have additional Hole and Group coverage each day. A subscription to ESPN+ costs $10.99 per month. However, if you are just looking to watch the main TV coverage of The American Express this week, then you can watch The American Express for free on Golf Channel with a free trial to any of the following streaming services:
- fubo – 1-week free trial and includes Golf Channel
- YouTube TV – 1-week free trial and includes Golf Channel
- DIRECTV STREAM Ultimate Plan: provides a 5-day free trial and includes Golf Channel
While any of these is a valid way to watch The American Express, if you are planning on watching PGA Tour events each week, then you will want Hulu+Live TV as it includes all the channels airing PGA events this season, including ESPN+.
Read on for the TV and streaming schedule for The American Express and more on all the ways to watch The American Express and why I think Hulu + Live TV is the best option for Golf fans looking to watch each week of the PGA Tour.

Why Hulu + Live TV Is The Best Way To Watch The TOUR
Throughout the season, traditional coverage of the TOUR will be on Golf Channel nearly every week. However, Golf Channel will typically split the weekend coverage with CBS or NBC depending on who has the rights that week. Meanwhile, ESPN+ will have Hole and Group coverage and a supplemental Main and Marquee feed through PGA TOUR Live.
If you are a PGA fan and want to watch as much of the tour as possible, then Hulu+Live TV is your best choice, as it is the only streaming service that includes ESPN+ with its base package. Furthermore, the Hulu + Live TV channel lineup includes NBC, CBS, and your most-watched local channels, along with Golf Channel. It also includes ESPN, which has the rights to The Masters and the PGA Championship this season. No streaming service will provide better coverage of the PGA TOUR this season than Hulu + Live TV. You can sign up for Hulu + Live TV here. The streaming service costs $76.99 per month, and you can cancel anytime.
Hulu + Live TV also has USA Network, which will air coverage of this year’s Open Championship and U.S. Open. Unfortunately, ESPN+ won’t have special groups and hole coverage that week. Instead, Peacock will have hole and group coverage during those two weeks. Peacock costs $5.99 per month, but you can cancel anytime. If you are interested in Peacock for hole and group coverage, you just need to keep it for the US Open and Open Championship for two months (June and July).
So, to summarize, Hulu + Live TV will provide CBS, NBC, Golf Channel, ESPN, and USA Network. This will give access to the primary broadcast coverage every week of the tour. Hulu + Live TV also includes ESPN+, which provides unique Marquee, Main, Hole, and Group feeds most weeks (about 30 weeks). ESPN+ will not have coverage the week of Jun. 10 for the U.S. Open or for The Open Championship the week of Jul. 15. For those two weeks, hole and group coverage will be on Peacock.
