Updated on 2024-04-13 By Dennis Restauro

Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns are no longer on Bally Sports for the 2023-2024 NBA season. Instead, fans living in the Sun’s TV Market watch most Suns games for free over the air on 3TV and on the new Arizona’s Family Sports channel. Arizona’s Family Sports will carry 68 Suns games this season games with 50 of those games simulcasted on 3TV.

The remaining 14 Suns games this season will be national broadcasts exclusive to ESPN, TNT, and ABC. If you watch Arizona’s Family Sports (AZFS) with a TV antenna, it’s channel 44 in Phoenix, channel 32 in Flagstaff, 27 in Yuma, and 13.5 in Tucson.

The Suns 5 preseason games this season will be broadcast on 3TV (KTVK channel 3) whish is also available using a TV antenna in the Phoenix area or use a free trial to DIRECTV STREAM “Entertainment” plan. Both DIRECTV STREAM and FuboTV are also planning to add Arizona’s Family Sports channel to their service for Suns fans.

Read on to learn how to watch the Suns’ next game and how to watch them all season long.

What Channel Are The Suns On

If you live in the Suns’ TV market, most games will broadcast on AZ Family Sports Network, which you can watch for free with a TV antenna. In Flagstaff, Arizona’s Family Sports is Channel 32 or 3.5. In Tucson, it is Channel 13.5. Arizona’s Family Sports can be found on Channel 27 in Yuma.

Fubo, YouTube TV, and DIRECTV STREAM are shown as “coming soon” on The AZ Family Sports website. Cox Cable carries Arizona’s Family Sports in Phoenix and Flagstaff on Channel 13 and on channel 19 in Tucson.

68 Suns games will be available on Arizona Family Sports, while the remaining 14 games will be exclusive to TNT, ABC, and ESPN. All three of those channels are available through DIRECTV STREAM, Hulu Live TV, and YouTube TV.

Watching Suns Games Outside of Their TV Market

If you live outside the Suns market, then most games will be available with a subscription to NBA League Pass. The exception is Suns games nationally broadcast on ESPN, ABC, and TNT. To watch those games, you need a streaming service that carries those channels like DIRECTV STREAM, Hulu Live TV, or YouTube TV. I cover these services below.

NBA League Pass

To watch most Suns games if you live outside the Phoenix market, you will need NBA League Pass. NBA League Pass will show every Suns game that isn’t exclusively airing nationally on ESPN, ABC, or TNT. NBA League Pass also provides access to NBA TV, so you are covered when they broadcast the occasional Suns game.

nba league pass

NBA League Pass provides three ways to subscribe:

  • Team Pass – Watch live, out-of-market games for the Phoenix Suns for $13.99 per month or $89.99 per year.
  • League Pass – Watch live, out-of-market games for the Phoenix Suns and every other team for $14.99 per month or $99.99 per year.
  • Premium League Pass – Watch live, out-of-market games for every team for $22.99 per month or $149.99 per year. (commercial-free)

Keep in mind that there are blackout rules in effect. Games won’t be aired live if:

  • They are being broadcast on ESPN, ABC, or TNT. (NBA TV is included with a subscription to NBA League pass.
  • They are being broadcast where you live on the regional sports network’s broadcast area that owns the rights to air NBA games in your area. You will need a streaming service that carries your regional sports network like DIRECTV STREAM (sign up), to watch those games.

Suns Games Exclusive to ESPN, TNT, and ABC

DIRECTV STREAM, Hulu Live TV, or YouTube TV are your best options for streaming ABC, TNT, and ESPN. One of those services in addition to a subscription to NBA League Pass will provide live access to every Suns game if you live outside their TV market.
