American Born Chinese is a new Disney+ original series based on the graphic novel by Gene Luen Yang. Jin Wang (Ben Wang) is a regular American teenager juggling a school social life with his home life. When he befriends a new foreign student on the first day of the new school year, his world is turned upside down when it turns out his new friend is the son of a mythological god. Suddenly Jin is entangled in a battle of Chinese gods in a genre-hopping story about identity and family, full of drama, comedy, and even some kung fu.
