Based on a True Story pairs Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina as a couple caught up in the true-crime obsession. When murder strikes close to home, Ava (Cuoco) convinces her husband Nathan (Messina) that they should get in the podcast game and catch the killer rather than maybe just call the cops. But things very quickly go awry, and the relator and former tennis star quickly realize they are in over their heads. The series costars Tom Bateman, Li Jun Li, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Liana Liberato, Natalia Dyer, Aisha Alfa, Alex Alomar Akpobome, and Priscilla Quintana.
