There are currently two ways you can watch C-SPAN without a cable TV subscription. I explain both in this article.
Watch C-SPAN Free Right Now: You can stream C-SPAN live and for free using this 5-day free trial to DIRECTV STREAM.
Stream The C-SPAN TV Channel
If want to watch the actual C-SPAN channel, the only streaming service that offers C-SPAN in their channel lineup is DIRECTV STREAM. C-SPAN is not available on Hulu, YouTube TV, Vidgo, Philo, or FuboTV.
C-SPAN on DIRECTV STREAM

C-SPAN and CSPAN2 are both available along with over 100 other channels through the streaming service DIRECTV STREAM. This is just like watching TV with cable, but the channel streams over the internet to your smart TV, streaming device, smartphone, or tablet. Both C-SPAN and C-SPAN two are available on DIRECTV STREAM’s “Entertainment” package for a monthly price of $74.99. All DIRECTV STREAM channel packages include the following:
- ability to watch on unlimited devices inside the home
- a cloud-based DVR
- channels like C-SPAN, AMC, HGTV, Discovery, and more
- supported on Apple TV, Android TV, Roku, Amazon FireTV, and more
You can check out everything this service offers by taking advantage of their online offer or read about it in our DIRECTV STREAM review.
Stream CSPAN on YouTube
You don’t need cable to watch C-Span. All C-SPAN live feeds are streamed to the C-SPAN YouTube Channel. To watch on your TV, download the YouTube app to your Smart TV or streaming device. Most streamlining devices already preinstall the YouTube app. Please note, this isn’t the live streaming service YouTube TV, but the YouTube app.
Once you download the YouTube App, open the app and use the magnifying glass icon on the left menu and search “C-SPAN”. You will then see the C-SPAN channel and the current live feed. Select the live feed and you can watch C-SPAN on your TV.
