The latest Disney Animation film, Encanto, arrives on the Disney+ streaming service on Friday, December 24. Initially opening in theaters on November 24, the film will debut without Premier Access, thankfully, for excellent family holiday viewing. Encanto tells the story of the Madrigal family living in the mountains of Colombia. They live in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in Encanto, a charming place, one that has blessed all the kids of the family with unique supernatural gifts. The only exception: Mirabel (Stephanie Beatriz). However, she has another destiny, one that may save the entire family and their magical town. It also costars Lin-Manuel Miranda (who wrote eight of the original songs in the film) and Diane Guerrero. The whole film captures the joy, music, and love of a multigenerational Latino family and the music of Colombia throughout. Read on for more on how to watch Encanto.
