The new animated special LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation premieres on Friday, August 5, on Disney+. In the special, familiar LEGO faces of popular Star Wars characters are back together again, this time taking a much-needed break from stormtroopers and TIE fighters. Finn, Rey, Poe, Rose, Chewie, BB-8, R2-D2, and C-3PO, are going on vacation aboard the ultra-luxurious Galactic Starcruiser, the Halcyon. Of course, antics and wackiness ensue as Finn gets separated from his friends and encounters the Force ghosts of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Leia Organa. The three wise souls share their own stories of vacations gone wrong, and help him focus on what time with friends is really about.
The special features a star-studded voice cast, including “Weird Al” Yankovic, Yvette Nicole Brown, Thomas Lennon, Paul F. LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation will be available on the Disney+ streaming service. The subscription costs $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year. A subscription allows for unlimited downloads of content to up to 10 devices for viewing offline and the ability to stream on four different devices simultaneously.
