The dramatic comedy follows four Native American teenagers growing up on a reservation in eastern Oklahoma trying to “collect” and save enough money to move to California after the death of their friend. The show’s title is a callback to Quentin Tarantino’s gangster film Reservoir Dogs as the crew in Reservation Dogs are a sort of wannabe gangsters that rob and steal whatever they can so they can head to the magical place where TV dreams are made.
