The popular young adult book series Vampire Academy comes to tv as a new series, premiering on Thursday, September 15, on Peacock TV. Based on Richelle Mead’s novels, it is the story of the friendship between two young women: a powerful Royal vampire, Lissa (Daniela Nieves), and her half-vampire Guardian Rose (Sisi Stringer). Together they form a bond beyond their class differences in a tale of friendship, romance, and danger set in prestigious vampire society.
Vampire Academy comes from executive producers Julie Plec and Marguerite MacIntyre (The Vampire Diaries) and is a reboot following a 2014 film adaptation of the books.
