“There’s no crying in baseball!” Remember that? This week, Prime Video previewed their new series A League of Their Own, based on the popular film from 1992. While we have to wait until August 12 for the new series, fans can rewatch (or get to know) the original film this summer while you wait. The film starred Geena Davis, Lori Petty, Madonna, and Rosie O’Donnell as members of an all-women’s baseball team, part of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, formed while all the men are at war. It also stars Tom Hanks as the team’s crotchety alcoholic coach (with an eventual heart deep down). Read on for more on how to watch A League of Their Own.
