The latest installment of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean premieres on Thursday, September 1, on Netflix. The anime series, based on the long-running manga JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, has had several extended chapters produced over the last 10 years. The first 12 episodes of Stone Ocean premiered in December, with 12 more being released in this installment.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure follows multiple generations of the Joestar family, all with the JoJo nickname, as they fight supernatural villans across time. Stone Ocean follows Jolyne Cujoh, who has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after being framed for murder. Meanwhile, her father has been attacked and is in a coma. With the help of a magical pendant and mysterious new powers, Jolyne is determined to find out what and who happened to her father in an effort to save him.
Four other iterations of the long-running manga series are also on Netflix, including Stardust Crusaders, Phantom Blood/Battle Tendency, Diamond is Unbreakable, and Golden Wind, as well as the first half of Stone Ocean.
