How to Watch The Next Los Angeles FC Game

Below are the upcoming Los Angeles FC games and how you can stream them live based on where you live.

Stream Los Angeles FC vs. San Jose Earthquakes ( 5/28/22)

Match Time: Sat, May 28, 2022 at 6:00 PM EDT

MLS matches airing nationally will not air on the team's local in-market TV network. This game is airing nationally on TUDN, which you can watch on any of the services listed below:

  • fuboTV - Try a 7-day free trial
  • DIRECTV STREAM (Ultimate Plan) - Try a 5-day free trial

Watching Los Angeles FC Matches All Season

Where you can watch Los Angeles FC depends on a couple of factors. First, if the game is airing nationally on a network like FS1 or ESPN, then you will need that network to watch regardless of where you live. If you live inside their local TV market, Los Angeles FC matches that aren’t nationally televised will be on KCOP My13. If you live outside the Los Angeles FC market, you can watch matches on ESPN+ if they aren’t airing on a national network. I’ll cover both possibilities and the streaming services you need to watch Los Angeles FC throughout the 2022 season.

Watching Los Angeles FC Matches in Market

Major League Soccer handles blackouts differently than most leagues. If a match is airing nationally on ABC, ESPN, FS1, ESPN2, or TUDN, then the match won’t air on Los Angeles FC’s local flagship network, KCOP My13. All of those networks are carried on the FuboTV and DIRECTV STREAM, Streaming service. Hulu Live TV is also an option for CBS 4, ESPN, ESPN2, and FS1, but they lack TUDN. However, those games are free to watch on Twitter. Hulu Live TV is great if you also want to watch other MSL teams’ matches since it includes ESPN+. I cover Hulu Live TV a little later in the article.

FuboTV

FuboTV

fuboTV is a live streaming service that carries KCOP My13 for those living in their broadcast region, along with Fox, FS1, ESPN, ABC, ESPN2, and TUDN. They offer a 1-week free trial, which you can cancel within the trial period and not be charged. It’s also cheaper than DIRECTV STREAM at $69.99 per month. You can cancel at any time. Service is month-to-month with no long-term contract. The service supports iOS, Android, Fire TV, Chromecast, Apple TV, Roku, and more. The price includes a cloud DVR and the ability to stream on 3 devices at once. (see our review of FuboTV)

DIRECTV STREAM

at&t tv

DIRECTV STREAM is a live streaming service that carries KCOP My13 (for those living in their broadcast region.), Fox, FS1, ESPN, ABC, and ESPN2 in their “Entertainment” package for $69.99 per month after a 5-Day Free Trial. TUDN is available on their more expensive “Ultimate” package for $104.99 per month. However, any games on TUDN will also be streamed on Twitter, so you can airplay or cast any of those games from your mobile device to your TV for free, so I don’t recommend upgrading to Ultimate unless you have to. Check the schedule below to see all the national networks you will need this season. DIRECTV doesn’t force you into a contract, and you can cancel at any time.

DIRECTV STREAM is supported on Apple TV, Chromecast, Fire TV, iOS, Android, Roku, and more. The service also includes a cloud DVR service and allows you to stream to 20 devices simultaneously. See our review of DIRECTV STREAM for more details on this streaming service.

Watching Los Angeles FC Matches Outside their Market

If you live outside the Los Angeles FC market, you will still need access to the channels that air national MLS broadcasts. However, games not airing nationally will be available on ESPN+ as long as you don’t live in the local market of either team playing. Hulu Live TV carries all the channels you need except for TUDN, but those matches are simulcast free on Twitter. Furthermore, Hulu Live TV is the only streaming service that lets you add ESPN+ to your subscription.

Hulu Live TV and ESPN+

hulu
espn+

Hulu Live TV includes access to Fox, FS1, ESPN, ABC, and ESPN2 and includes ESPN+ for a price of costs $69.99 per month. This will allow you to watch every Los Angeles FC match this season as long as you are living outside the TV market for that week’s match.

You aren’t forced into a long term contract with Hulu Live TV, and they provide the following features:

  • Includes Fox, FS1, ESPN, ABC, and ESPN2
  • Price includes ESPN+ (and Disney+)
  • the ability to watch on 2 devices at the same time
  •  a cloud-based DVR
  • channels like ESPN2, ESPN, ABC, TNT, and more
  • supported on AppleTV, Android TV, Roku, Amazon FireTV, and more

You can sign up for Hulu Live TV or check out our review of Hulu Live TV for more information on this streaming service.

Other Ways To Watch Nationally Televised Matches

While ESPN+ covers a big portion of your out-of-market Los Angeles FC games, you will still need a way to watch National Games. The streaming service in the list below should suffice.

Vidgo – Carries FS1, ESPN, and ESPN2 along with ABC and Fox in over 100 markets. Each Vidgo channel plan offers a 7-day free trial with plans starting at $$$ per month. See our review of Vidgo for more information.

Youtube TV – Carries Fox, FS1, ESPN, ABC, and ESPN2 and offers a 7-Day Free Trial. After the free trial, YouTube TV costs $64.99 per month. For more information on this streaming service, see our review of YouTube TV.

Los Angeles FC 2022 TV Schedule

The schedule below shows Nationally Televised Los Angeles FC matches this season and where you can watch them. Remember, if you live in Los Angeles FC’s TV market, then ESPN+ will be blacked out, and you will need one of the streaming services above that carries KCOP My13.
