
Murf the Surf: Jewels, Jesus, and Mayhem in the USA is a new four-part true crime docuseries that looks at one of America’s most infamous jewel thieves. Jack Roland Murphy was a champion surfer, as well as a musician, author, and artist. He was also part of the 1964 burglary of the jewel collection of the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, which included the Star of India, as well as several other major thefts and eventually murder.
