One of the best-selling music artists of all time, and THE best-selling female country artist, Shania Twain is now telling her own story with the new documentary Not Just a Girl, which arrives on Netflix on Tuesday, July 26. Music video clips, concert and archival footage, and interviews cover Twain’s lengthy career and legacy in country music. The same day that the documentary drops, Twain also will release her new compilation album, “Not Just a Girl (The Highlights).”
Named after the title track on the album, the Not Just a Girl film covers Twain’s life so far, from her modest upbringing in Canada to her life in Nashville, including her marriages with onetime husband/producer Mutt Lange and Frédéric Thiébaud, as well as her singing struggles, having had vocal difficulties since 2003 after contracting Lyme disease.
