The new series adaptation of the hit 1980 film, American Gigolo, premieres on Showtime on Friday, September 9 on streaming and on-demand for subscribers, and Sunday, September 11, at 9:00 p.m. on cable broadcast. The reimagined story stars Jon Bernthal (We Own This City) in the titular role of Julian Kaye, a former escort struggling to navigate back into life after 15 years in prison for a wrongful conviction. As he struggles to reconcile his past with the man he is today, he seeks truth from the people who betrayed him and tries to rebuild a relationship with his ex Michelle (Gretchen Mol) and troubled mother. At the same time, Detective Sunday (Rosie O’Donnell) is investigating the murder that sent Julian to prison, a quest that unearths a much larger conspiracy. The cast also includes Lizzie Brocheré, Gabriel LaBelle, and Leland Orser; and guest stars Wayne Brady, Alex Fernandez, Sandrine Holt, Yolonda Ross, and Melora Walters.
