The Resident Evil franchise rises again, this time in a new television series that premieres on Thursday, July 14, on Netflix. Set in both 2022 and 2036, moving between the discovery of the deadly T-virus that caused a global apocalypse and 14 years later in which survivors of the apocalypse fight to survive. It follows twin sisters Jade and Billie Wesker whose father, Albert Wesker, is discovered to have had connections to the dark secrets at Umbrella Corporation when they were teens. In 2036, Jade struggles with her family’s past and what happened to Billie.
