You can watch Disney+ on VIZIO SmartCast TVs using the new built-in Disney+ app on the SmartCast Home Screen, ‘Casting’ through an Android device, or using the Apple AirPlay. This guide explains how.
Disney+ App on Vizio
Disney+ is supported on Vizio SmartCast TVs, models 2016 and newer, except for models E32-D1, E32h-D1, E40-D0, E43-D2, E48-D0, E50-D1 and E55-D0. There isn’t a way to add the app to Vizio, so if Disney+ is supported by your Vizio Smart TV, then it should be available to install. Here are the steps on watch on your Vizio TV
- sign-up for Disney+
- On your VIZIO SmartCast TV, go to the Home Screen
- Select Disney+ to install it to your television
- Once installed, log-in using your Disney+ credentials you used in Step1.
Disney+ on Vizio Using AirPlay
- Sign-up for Disney+
- Click here to install the Disney+ iOS App on your iPhone or iPad
- Once installed, log-in using your Disney+ credentials from Step 1
- Make sure your Smart TV and iOS device are on the same network.
- Start playing a movie or show on the Disney+ App on your iOS device and select the AirPlay icon in the top right
- Choose your VIZIO SmartCast TV and it will play the movie or show on your TV
Disney+ on Vizio Using Google “Casting”
- sign-up for Disney+
- Install the Disney+ iOS App or Android App
- Once installed, log-in using your Disney+ credentials from Step 1
- Make sure your Smart TV and mobile device are on the same network.
- Start playing a movie or show on the Disney+ App on your mobile device and select the AirPlay icon in the top right
- Choose your VIZIO SmartCast TV and it will start displaying on your television
Disney+ Content on Vizio
Disney+ allows you to watch all of the following on your Vizio TV:
- The entire Disney Movie Vault
- Every Pixar Movie and shorts
- All of Disney’s Star Wars movies and TV shows will be moving to Disney+ within its first year of launch
- New Marvel, Star Wars, Disney, and Pixar movies will stream exclusively on Disney+ after their theatrical run
- 30 seasons of The Simpsons
- Nearly 500 movies and 7500 TV episodes in all.
- A ton of Muppets Content and more
Disney+ Features on Vizio
Vizio supports all the features available on the Disney+ app like:
- Movies and TV Shows are in 4K HDR and ad-free
- Every Disney Plus account can stream to four devices simultaneously
- Subscribers can have up to 10 devices use one account
- Users can create multiple profiles
- Subscribers can download shows and movies to their devices to watch offline
- Recommended speeds are 5.0 Mbps for High Definition content and 25.0 Mbps for 4K UHD content
- Dolby Vision is supported with some content (recommended speed 25 Mbps)
