Notorious safecracker Ludwig Dieter (Matthias Schweighöfer) is back in Army of Thieves, a prequel to Zach Snyder’s zombie heist film Army of the Dead released earlier in 2021. Set six years before the action of that movie, Army of Thieves finds safecracker Dieter still working his bank job in the early days of the zombie break out and is recruited for a massive heist across Europe.
