Just in case you’re worried about a shortage of things to watch in the lazy month of August, HBO Max and A24 are here to make your movie nights that much better. In time for the indie studio’s 10th anniversary, A24 has announced that a block of 28 of its films will land on HBO Max starting August 1. The companies have partnered before, with A24 being the production studio behind HBO’s hit series Euphoria. A24 is known as a place for artistic, director-driven films, particularly niche sci-fi and horror titles. Over the years, such films as Ex Machina, Room, and Obvious Child have been critical indie hits, and it is the studio behind this summer’s breakout hit Everything Everywhere All at Once. While this and other recent award-winning A24 titles like Minari are not in the current HBO batch, there are some great titles to choose between for summer viewing. Read on for more on the A24 titles and how to watch them.
Where to Watch: All these new A24 titles will be available on HBO Max beginning August 1.
