Published 2022-12-13 By Heather C. Jackson

A New Diva's Christmas Carol

A New Diva’s Christmas Carol, a fresh spin on the classic holiday tale of redemption, premieres on VH1 on Wednesday, December 14. Ashanti plays Aphrodite, a pop singer who became famous for performing the love song of the era. Now, after overplaying and over-singing it for years, she hates the song and has become quite bitter and is the meanest judge on the competition show “Pop the Question.” When a young breakthrough contestant makes a big impression on her, Aphrodite becomes her mentor and tries to steer the young singer away from love songs. So it’s up to a trio of spirits (played by Vivica A. Fox, Robin Givens, and Eva Marcille) to help Aphrodite thaw her heart and rediscover the magic of love and Christmas. Read on for how to watch A New Diva’s Christmas Carol.
