The second season of the anthology show Cruel Summer moves the action to an idyllic waterfront town in the Pacific Northwest. Similar to the first season, the show is set across three different timelines, following the rise and fall of an intense teenage friendship in the time around Y2K. It chronicles the early friendship between Megan, Isabella, and Megan’s best friend, Luke, the love triangle that blossomed in the group, and the mystery that would impact all of their lives. While the story telling of this show is unconventional, it still manages to be riveting. The season 1 cast is excellent, and the show routinely leaves you hanging by a thread. It’s easily an instant classic and a much watch for those that love shows steeped in drama and intrigue.
