DMZ is set in a dystopian United States, where the country is in the midst of a second Civil War. Rosario Dawson plays Alma Ortega, an NYC medic traveling through the demilitarized zone of Manhattan Island, who, while on a search for her lost son, becomes a symbol of hope to those trapped within.
