An extraordinarily timely and powerful new documentary, The Janes, premieres on Wednesday, June 8, at 8:00 p.m. ET on HBO. The documentary film looks back on and interviews members of “The Janes,” a group of female activists in pre-Roe v. Wade 1970s who built an underground network to provide women in need with abortions. In the years they were active, they assisted an estimated 11,000 women in a time when safe, medical abortions were illegal. Read on to learn how to watch The Janes without cable.
