Good Trouble

The drama series Good Trouble, a spin-off of The Fosters, follows two sisters, Callie and Mariana Foster, as they relocate to Los Angeles. They move into a communal living apartment, and the show follows them and their group of friends and neighbors as they navigate the first steps of young adult independence and finding their footing in the world. While Good Trouble airs on Freeform, you don’t need cable to watch. Read on to learn how to watch Good Trouble without needing a subscription to cable TV.

You can watch Good Trouble on Freeform with a subscription to the Sling TV Orange Package. The service offers a wide variety in a number of channel plans starting $40 per month. Sling includes 50 hours of cloud DVR storage and the option to stream to devices simultaneously. The service supports iOS, Android, Fire TV, Chromecast, Apple TV, Roku, and more. You can watch Good Trouble on Freeform with a subscription to Hulu Live TV. The service offers FreeForm and over 60 live channels at the cost of $76.99 per month. The service supports iOS, Android, Fire TV, Chromecast, Apple TV, Roku, and more. The base price includes a cloud DVR and the ability to stream on two devices at once, but the option to upgrade to unlimited streams. Hulu Live TV includes Hulu streaming library (see review). If you want to save some money, you can pick up the Hulu streaming library for $7.99 per month, and offers a 30-day-free trial. You have to wait a day after an episode debuts on Freeform before it’s available on Hulu on-demand.

You can watch Good Trouble on Freeform with a subscription to Vidgo. They offer over 60 live channels at the cost of $69.99 per month, with upgraded plans available. The service supports iOS, Android, Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, Web browsers, and Chromecast. The price includes a cloud DVR and the ability to stream on three devices at once. YouTube TV is another way to watch Good Trouble. They carry Freeform and over 85 other channels with three simultaneous streams and a personal cloud DVR. All this comes with a price tag of $72.99 per month. YouTube TV supports Android, iOS (includes airplay to Apple TV), and Chromecasts/Chromecast-compatible TVs. YouTube TV offers a  free trial. DIRECTV STREAM

DIRECTV STREAM offers Freeform channel in their “Entertainment” channel plan for a price of $79.99 per month with other plans available. This will provide access to episodes of Good TroubleThe service supports Apple TV, iOS, Android, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, and most modern web browsers. There is no contract when signing up.  (see review)

Watch Good Trouble On Demand & Past Seasons

You can save yourself a lot of money if you can wait one day to watch Good Trouble. New episodes of Good Trouble are available to stream on Hulu on-demand on the day after they air on TV. Hulu’s streaming library starts at $7.99 per month and offers a 30-day-free trial. If you have to watch Good Trouble, Hulu Live TV carries Freeform, but it’s $76.99 per month after a 1-week free trial. Both options will also let you watch past episodes from all seasons on-demand.

Hulu also carries Good Trouble seasons 1 – 4, so it’s a great way to catch up on the series.

Full Episodes of Good Trouble on The Freeform app.

You can watch full episodes of Good Trouble using the streaming service app you subscribe to. However, episodes are also available through the Freeform app, but they are locked unless you enter the login credentials for a valid TV provider. If you downloaded the Freeform App and are wondering how to access full episodes of Good Trouble through the app, then you will need credentials from a valid TV provider that carries Freeform. The username and password from the streaming services FuboTV, Hulu Live TV, Vidgo, DIRECTV STREAM, Sling TV, and YouTube TV all work to unlock full episodes on the Freeform app. Below is an example of how to unlock the app using Hulu on a Roku, but the process is similar for other devices and streaming services.

  1. Pick up a free trial to Hulu Live TV
  2. Go to the channel store or app store on your device. On Roku, it’s called the “Channel Store.”
  3. Search for “Freeform”
  4. Add the Freeform app to your device and then open it. 
  5. Your Roku device will then show you an activation code and a URL.
  6. Using a computer or mobile web browser, you go to the URL.
  7. You will then be asked for a TV provider and a username/password. I’m entering the username and password I use for Hulu.
  8. Once you sign in on Freeform’s website, your TV screen will refresh. You should now have access to all the video content the app provides.

The Freeform app is Supported on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Android, Fire TV, Android TV, Roku, Chromecast, and more.
