The quirky new film, Darby and the Dead premiered on Hulu on Friday, December 2. Ever since a childhood near-death experience, Darby Harper (Riele Downs) has been seeing dead people. Over the years, she has become a counselor to lonely lost spirits, but introverted and cut off from her peers. When the high school queen bee Capri (Auli’i Cravalho) is killed in a freak accident, she forces Darby out of her solitary life in an effort to keep her “Sweet 17” shindig on track, even from beyond the grave. Darby must reinvent herself in the public eye and find a way to rejoin the living in order to get the undead diva’s party back on track. Read more on how to watch Darby and the Dead without cable.
