While Star Wars has been churning out new series almost as often as Marvel, it seems to be keeping them close to the main characters and timeline recognized by the fans. The long-awaited series Star Wars: Ahsoka is set after the fall of the Empire and the events of The Return of the Jedi, in the timeframe as The Mandalorian. Originally, the character Ahsoka was created for the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars (voiced by Ashley Eckstein) as a Padawan to Anakin Skywalker. After Rosario Dawson portrayed her in a guest appearance in The Mandalorian, there has been much excitement for her to have her own spin-off live-action series. In the new series, former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano (Dawson) investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. The cast also includes Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ray Stevenson, Ivanna Sakhno, Diana Lee Inosanto, David Tennant, Lars Mikkelsen, and Eman Esfandi.
