How to Watch the Series Candy

Published 2022-05-06 By Heather C. Jackson

A woman in 1980s clothes and hair leans her chin in her hand and looks at the camera

It’s not surprising that in the wave of true crime miniseries hitting the screens, two studios would hit on the same story, and such is the situation with the case of Candy Montgomery. The first of the two series to land is Candy, which premieres on Monday, May 9, on Hulu, and is slated to be another series on HBO later this year. In the 1980s, housewife Candy Montgomery seems to have done it all right. Until an extramarital affair with her neighbor and friend Betty Gore’s husband leads to the brutal murder of Betty. Was Candy capable of chopping her friend 41 times with an ax? Hulu’s version of the story stars Jessica Biel as Candy, Melanie Lynskey as Betty, as well as Timothy Simons, Pablo Schreiber, and Raúl Esparza. It will be released on five consecutive nights, May 9 – 13. Read on for how to watch Candy without cable.
