In 1955, 14-year-old Emmett Till was brutally murdered on a trip to Mississippi during the height of the Jim Crow South. Women of the Movement, a new limited-series drama that chronicles the events leading up to his death and the civil rights movement that his mother spurred on in seeking justice, premieres on Thursday, January 6, at 8:00 p.m. ET, on ABC. Mamie Till Mobley, Emmett’s mother, devoted her life to seeking justice for her son, spurring on the nation’s civil rights movement. This six-episode miniseries stars Adrienne Warren as Mamie Till Mobley, as well as Tonya Pinkins, Cedric Joe, Glynn Turman, Ray Fisher, Chris Coy, and Julia McDermott.
