Where you can stream Young Sheldon usually depends on which season you want to watch and whether or not the show is currently airing new episodes.
All episodes of Young Sheldon from seasons 1 through season 6 are available to stream on Max. Season 7 of Young Sheldon will premiere on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 8:00 PM on CBS. You can watch the premiere and all new season 7 episodes when they air and on-demand through Paramount+ and other services that carry CBS, which I cover below. Otherwise, you will need to wait a few months after the mid-season break before new episodes transition to Max.
Max (formerly HBO Max) has the on-demand streaming rights to Young Sheldon. Once episodes air on CBS, they are only available on-demand through streaming services carrying CBS for a few months before moving to Max. Season 6 ended on May 18, 2023. Those episodes arrived on Max in early September, so it takes about 3-4 months for episodes to arrive from CBS.
In November of 2023, the first 5 seasons of Young Sheldon also became available to stream on Netflix.
Watch Past Seasons of Young Sheldon
Unlike many CBS shows, Young Sheldon is part of a WarnerMedia Distribution which streams the majority of its content on Max (formerly HBO Max). All past seasons are streaming exclusively in its Digital Library, not on Paramount+. A subscription to HBO-Max costs $15.99 per month for their ad-free plan and $9.99 per month for their ad-supported service (meaning a few commercials with every episode). You can sign up here. Watching Young Sheldon Season 7
When new episodes of Young Sheldon Season 7 start on Thursday, February 15, 2024, they will air every Thursday at 8 PM ET/7 C on CBS. Paramount+ (Formerly CBS All Access) is the best way to stream Young Sheldon as the streaming service provides a live feed of your local CBS station and will let you watch new episodes when they air on CBS. Paramount+ will also have the current season of the show available on-demand the day after it airs live, so you can watch Young Sheldon on-demand if you miss an episode.
Paramount+ offers a 7-day free trial so that you can try the service with no risk. However, there are two plan options to choose from:
Paramount+ Premium: Provides live streaming access to your local CBS station so you can watch Young Sheldon episodes when they air on Thursdays at 8 PM ET. This plan also provides on-demand ad-free access to Paramount+ content, although it does not currently have past seasons of Young Sheldon on demand. After the 7-day free trial, the service price starts at $11.99.
Paramount+ Essential: This plan provides ad-supported on-demand the current season of Young Sheldon for $5.99 per month after a 7-day free trial. This plan doesn’t include live CBS, so you will have to wait a day after new episodes of season 6 air to watch.

YouTube TV is a great option to watch Young Sheldon live. YouTube TV offers live CBS with its streaming service in nearly ALL markets in the US. The only market where YouTube TV doesn’t offer CBS is the Rochester-Mason City-Austin market, covering parts of Minnesota and Iowa. (YouTube TV does offer CBS in Rochester, NY, and Austin, TX.)

- Subscribe to a Max. They currently have all episodes of Young Sheldon on demand
- On your Roku Menu, navigate to “Search” and press “OK” on your remote
- Enter “Max” in the search bar
- Select the streaming service and press “OK.”
- Select “Add Channel” press “OK” on your remote. If Max is already installed, “Go To Channel” will be an option.
- Max is now installed on your Roku. Open Max, and log in with the credentials you used to subscribe to the service. Search for “Young Sheldon” and select the show.
