
Today, Apple announced the next generation of Apple TV 4K, with high frame rate HDR, Dolby Vision, and a new Siri Remote. The new Apple TV 4K boasts an upgraded processor with an A12 Bionic chip that provides a significant boost in graphics performance, video decoding, and audio processing.
The Apple TV 4K comes with the all-new Siri Remote. This new remote features a clickpad control that offers five-way navigation for better accuracy. The clickpad is touch-enabled and supports directional swipes. The new Siri Remote also has a power button that controls a TV’s power, and buttons for volume and mute. Using Siri, users can easily search for specific shows or movies, control smart home accessories, and more.
Customers can order the new Apple TV 4K beginning Friday, April 30, with availability beginning in the second half of May in more than 30 countries and regions, including the US. The version with 32GB of onboard storage will retail for $179 and a 64GB model will cost $199. Apple will also make an Apple TV HD available with the new Siri Remote will be available for $149.
