Some of the biggest stars in Country Music will be performing on Sunday, April 2, at this year’s CMT Music Awards. This year’s event will be co-hosted by Kelsea Ballerini and Kane Brown with performances by Blake Shelton, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Cody Johnson, Darius Rucker with the Black Crowes, Gwen Stefani, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute: ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, Chuck Leavell, Cody Johnson, Paul Rodgers, Slash and Warren Hayes, LeAnn Rimes, Ashley McBryde, Wynonna Judd, Kane Brown with wife Katelyn Brown, Tyler Hubbard, and Alanis Morissette covering her own “You Oughta Know” with Ingrid Andress, Lainey Wilson, Madeline Edwards, and Morgan Wade. The 2023 CMT Music Awards will air at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on CMT, but you don’t need cable to watch. Read on to learn how to watch this year’s CMT Musics Awards.

Watching The CMT Music Awards without Cable

You don’t need cable to watch this year’s CMT Music Awards, you just need a streaming service that carries CMT. Then you can watch the CMT Music Awards on the air. Read on to learn how to stream this years CMT Music awards.

Hulu Live TV

Hulu is known for its vast on-demand streaming library. However, they also offer Hulu Live TV service, which includes live CMT Streaming and most top channels typically found on cable. Hulu Live TV starts at $76.99 and includes the following features:

FuboTV

FuboTV

FuboTV is an excellent place to go for sports, but it offers many other channels, including CMT. Over 90 channels are offered in its basic package for $74.99 (after 7-day free trial). The FuboTV app is available on major platforms, including Apple TV, AndroidTV, Roku, and Amazon FireTV. You can sign up for fuboTV or check out our review of FuboTV for more details.

Sling TV

CMT is not in Sling’s base packages. However, you can get CMT through the Orange or the Blue package By adding the “Comedy Extra” add-on package for an additional $6 per month on top of $40 for one of Sling’s base packages.

Sling TV provides a live stream of CMT so you can watch what would be airing on CMT, just as if you had cable. A Cloud DVR program is included.

Sling TV is available on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, and more, so it’s not a problem to enjoy it on a TV, tablet, computer, or other smart devices. Vidgo

Vidgo is a newer Streaming service that offers fairly competitive pricing over other Live streaming services. They provide a DVR for 90 days with the Vidgo “Plus” plan, but you need to upgrade to the “Ultimate” plan to keep the DVR past 90 days. Their service offers CMT as a part of their 60+ channel Core package. The Core Plan costs $69.99 per month. 

There is no contract with Vidgo, and you can cancel any time. They do offer a 3-day free trial, which you can cancel within the first three days at no charge. Vidgo is supported on available on Android, iOS, Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV. You can also stream the service on up to 3 devices at the same time. DIRECTV STREAM

DIRECTV STREAM

CMT is one of the channels available on AT&T’s streaming service DIRECTV STREAM. For a price of $79.99 you will get the following:

  • watch 20 streams simultaneously per subscription 
  • a cloud-based DVR
  • channels like CMT, AMC, HGTV, Discovery, and more
  • supported on Apple TV, Android TV, Roku, Amazon FireTV, and more

YouTube TV

YouTube includes CMT along with several other channels to their lineup. YouTube TV does include a DVR with limitless storage space for recording your shows. Plus, you can watch your library of recorded shows anywhere! The YouTube TV channel lineup includes CMT for $72.99 a month.
