How to Watch Butchers of the Bayou

Published 2023-03-14 By Heather C. Jackson

Show title over a dark image of the shadows under a dock, with Bayou in blood red

Butchers of the Bayou is a four-episode true-crime documentary series following two serial killers that operated separately but concurrently throughout the Baton Rouge area of Louisiana over the span of a decade. From 1992 – 2004, Derrick Todd Lee and Sean Vincent Gillis each individually stalked, raped, murdered, and at times dismembered multiple women. While it appears they never met, it seems they were aware of and even competing with each other’s crimes as they increased in depravity and violence before both were eventually apprehended. Read on for more on how to watch Butchers of the Bayou.

How to Watch Butchers of the Bayou

Those looking to watch Butchers of the Bayou on A&E can do so without subscribing to an expensive cable TV plan. All you need is a streaming device like a Roku or Amazon Fire TV and a subscription to one of the following streaming services that carry A&E live.

The cheapest way to Watch A&E is with Frndly TV at just $6.99 after a 1-week free trial. Philo is the next most affordable at $25 per month and provides many more popular channels than Frndly, but both services lack sports and cable news. DIRECTV STREAM and Hulu Live TV provide an experience closer to cable TV with cable news, sports, and local channels, but they are priced around $65-$70 per month. Sling TV and Vidgo also provide A&E in their lineup at a price point and channel selection in between streaming services like Philo and services like DIRECTV STREAM.
