Episode 17 of season 1 of East New York, titled "Pound of Flesh", airs Sunday, March 26 at 9:00 PM eastern time on CBS. The series stars Amanda Warren as Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood, head of the 74th Precinct in East New York. The working-class Brooklyn neighborhood is in the midst of massive change and upheaval, and Haywood, who has family connections there, wants to protect the community. Despite her new promotion, or because of it, the officers and detectives on her team are reticent to get on board with her vision and leadership. Her goal: to make the unit not just protect but join the community they serve.
