Sport’s fans living in New York City are missing out if they don’t have MSG Network. The network has the New York metro area TV broadcast rights for the following teams:
- New York Knicks (NBA)
- New York Rangers (NHL)
- New York Islanders (NHL)
- New Jersey Devils (NHL)
- New York Red Bulls (MLS)
However, you don’t need cable to watch MSG network. The TV streaming services covered in this article all carry MSG network if you live in the MSG Network broadcast area which consist of New York, Central New Jersey, Northern New Jersey, Southern Connecticut, and Northern Pennsylvania.
fuboTV Carries MSG Network
fuboTV offers subscribers local and cable TV channels just as if you subscribed to a cable TV package. Currently, they are the only live streaming service that offers MSG Network as part of their channel lineup. You can watch the MSG Network through fuboTV online or on your TV using a supported streaming device like a Roku or Fire TV Stick.
Like cable, MSG Network is only available through fuboTV if you live in the Houston TV market. I recommend checking their website to find the channels they offer in your area using this link.
FuboTV offers a One Week Free Trial, but there is no contract so you can cancel any time. If you cancel during your free trial, you will not be charged at all. Here are some features included with your subscription to fuboTV:
- live local CBS, FOX, and NBC broadcast in many parts of the country
- a ton of channels you usually find on cable like HGTV, History, FS1, and more

The price of fuboTV starts at $64.99 per month. For more information on this streaming service, see our guide to fuboTV.

AT&T’s live streaming service is another way to watch MSG Network live. However, you have to subscribe to their “Choice” package for $84.99 per month. You can sign up online and they don’t force you into a contract so you can cancel at any time. The service also includes a cloud DVR service and allows you to stream to 20 devices simultaneously.

See our review of AT&T TV for more details on this streaming service.
What If You Live Outside the Houston TV Market
If you live outside MSG Network’s broadcast area, it won’t be in your channel lineup. This is true of whether you use streaming services or subscribe to cable TV. However, there is still a way for you to watch the Knicks, Rangers, Devils, and Islanders. Check out our guide to working around sports TV blackouts for more details.
