What is AT&T TV

AT&T TV is a live TV streaming service from AT&T that offers most of the channels you would receive through more traditional pay-TV services. It’s essentially a way to watch live TV online without needing cable. The service also provides steaming on-demand, a cloud DVR, and more. Previously AT&T TV customers had to use AT&T’s own streaming device to use the service. However, now AT&T TV customers can watch on streaming devices like Roku, Fire TV, and more by downloading the AT&T TV app to their device.

How Much is AT&T TV

AT&T TV offers 4 subscription plans to new customers. The “Entertainment” Package is $69.99 per month for 65+ channels like ESPN, HGTV, Nickelodeon, and more. Priced at $84.99 per month, the “Choice” package offers most of what is available in the “Entertainment” package while increasing the number of channels to over 90 and adding Regional Sports Networks. AT&T TV also offers the “Ultimate Package” with 130+ channels for $94.99 per month. There is also a “Premier Package” which adds HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, and Starz for $139.99 per month.

You can try any of these plans by signing up here.

AT&T TV Plans and Prices

Plans and prices are shown in the table below. Each plan allows you to stream on up to 3 devices at once and comes with 20 hours of DVR storage. You can opt for 500 hours of DVR storage for an additional $10 per month. The Choice Package and above come with 1 year of HBO Max and 1 year of 2020-21 NBA League Pass Premium. You can try any of these plans by signing up here. There is no contract for the pricing shown below.

There is an option to lock yourself into a two-year contract, but you only save $10 a month for the first 12 months. There is a big price increase in the second year. Furthermore, if you have the “Choice” plan or higher, you are hit with a Regional Sports fee of over $8 a month. If you sign up for AT&T TV, I recommend the month-to-month pricing as there are no additional fees or price increases.

AT&T TV Device Support

While you can pay $5 a month for an AT&T TV branded streaming device, you can save some money by using supported devices in the list below:

  • Amazon Fire TV, Fire Stick, And Fire Cube
  • Android Phones and tablets
